The Decision
The approved decision was: "I agree that the Provisional RAD Process can be used until a new RAD process is in place (stated intention within 9 months)"
What Does This Decision Mean?
The approval of the Provisional RAD Process established an interim framework for community decision-making in Auroville. This decision allows our community to have a structured process for making collective decisions while we work toward developing a more permanent system.
The Provisional RAD Process includes several key components that impact how we make decisions:
Only confirmed Aurovilians can participate in decision-making
Proposals must go through Residents' Assembly Meetings (RAMs) for discussion and refinement
Community feedback is actively solicited and incorporated into proposals
A decision is valid when at least 10% of residents participate and 50% of participants approve
Both online and in-person voting options are available
The Residents' Assembly Service (RAS) facilitates the entire process
This process now serves as our official method for making community-wide decisions until a new process is developed and approved.
